Bringing the outdoors in is her signature style for creating an effortless yet sophisticated island aesthetic. We asked Amanda how she creates her magic for entertaining at home and here's what she had to say...
What is your go-to method for creating the perfect party atmosphere?
Candlelight is the most important part of creating an atmosphere at night. For music, I am from the old guard and like things like Yacht Rock and Paul Simon.
Do you prefer a specialty cocktail or fully stocked bar?
Never ever a specialty cocktail, always a full stocked bar!
What are your go-to sources for entertaining inspiration and ideas?
What's your advice for making guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive?
Comfy seating and a quick drink.
What's a no fail recipe that you have mastered for entertaining?
Cold or hot soup to start with each guest having their own basket of buttery salty pita triangles. Then parmesan chicken and caesar salad with homemade croutons.
What is your favorite hostess gift to receive and/or give?
Candles and orchids are oldies but goodies...we have avocados on our tree at the moment so I bring those now!
What's one unexpected element you love to include in your party decor?
Hanging flowers from my garden from the pendant lights.
