Lizzie Fortunato jewelry collections are designed to tell a story and to transport the wearer. Travels to Morocco, India, Japan, Italy, Mexico, and beyond — as well as fine art and architecture — have inspired their pieces, and they strive to champion artisanal craftsmanship through the designs.

  • What’s your go-to method for creating the perfect party atmosphere? A certain playlist, favorite scent or area of your home that sets the tone for the evening. Fresh flowers! And candles! We love filling a table with cut stems and natural candlelight - anything works, even mismatched candles of different colors and heights; we love a colorful table! I love these for the table.

  • Do you prefer a specialty cocktail or fully stocked bar? A specialty cocktail! My husband Peter is great at mixing a special drink; his freshly squeezed lime daiquiri is delicious and transportive (to a sunny, faraway place!) 

  • What is your favorite hostess gift to receive and/or give? A beautiful candle. I love getting gifted a candle - you can never have too many and it quickly sparks joy! I’d gift this Flamingo Estate candle for my next hostess gift.

  • What’s your advice for making guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive? Have a drink ready! We love welcoming guests with open arms … a tray of pre-batched cocktails or a bottle of wine ready to pour makes serving easy and inviting.

  • Do you prefer games or conversation starters to break the ice? Conversation! But games are great for after dinner … sitting around with a glass of wine, good friends, and some “Shut the Box” or “Pass the Pig” is the perfect end to an evening. 

  • What’s one unexpected element you love to include in your party decor? Handmade place cards! Preferably decorated with stickers and hearts by our kids!
